Freebooter: Noose & Gallows VI (The Freebooters Book 12)
About
Epic fantasy. Grimdark, and elements of Dark Fantasy. Romance and occasional spice. Deep characters and long plot arcs. Mercenaries. Welcome to the Freebooters.
Freebooter is the sixth and conclusive volume of the Noose & Gallows story arc, and the twelfth Freebooters book.
The Freebooters have faced betrayal, exile, and loss, but nothing has prepared them for what waits in the broken peaks of the Midrange.
Eruch, the Twilight Blade, still battles the rage and curse festering inside him, a man standing on the edge of salvation or ruin. Lincoln, the reluctant new captain, carries the burden left by the fallen, and the stubborn strength of one who refuses to let the Freebooters die. Andri and Urskine hold the company together through the many years of struggle against the Noose of Thorns; now they share this burden with Ibrahim, Arcos, Cobble, and others. Together, over thirty Freebooters, mercenaries, warriors, survivors, ready themselves for their greatest, bloodiest fight yet.
Their enemy is not merely a tyrant or a tyrant’s pet monster. She is the Mistress, the true power behind the Noose of Thorns, and she is a dragon.
Scarred, hunted, and hardened by years of bloodshed, the Freebooters know this will not be a battle of armies, but of desperate souls. One final strike to sever the last head of the beast that has hunted and harrowed them for a decade.
In the shadow of ruin and flame, the Freebooters will pay in blood for every inch they take.
The Noose will fall, or they will.
No forgiveness. No retreat. No path but victory, or to die trying.
